The Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA) has launched the Legacy of Safety Fund, a new fundraising initiative aimed at supporting its standards, certification and training programs for the long term. ESTA plans to use the fund to establish a board-managed endowment that can support areas of greatest need across the association.
The fund can support technical standards, certification exams, technology, infrastructure and the operations behind ESTA programs. The association says the goal is to create a more stable financial base for work that serves entertainment technology professionals.
Building for the Long Term
“A new long-term fund will free ESTA to focus solely on what matters: continually maintaining and improving the standards, certifications, and training to move the entertainment technology industry forward and help our members stay at the top of the field,” said ESTA Executive Director Erin Grabe.
ESTA relies on industry volunteers and financial support to maintain many of its programs. The new fund is intended to give the association more flexibility to support that work while also planning for future needs.
Supporting Standards and Certification
Among its goals, the Legacy of Safety Fund will help ESTA keep technical standards free and accessible. It can also support updates to Entertainment Technician Certification Program exams and improvements to the association’s technology and infrastructure.
In addition, the fund can help sustain the day-to-day work behind ESTA programs and preserve those resources for future generations of industry professionals.
Donors can make a one-time contribution or spread contributions across multiple years through recurring payments. For more information about the Legacy of Safety Fund or to donate, visit esta.org/legacyofsafety.
