Meeting Planners assemble for Las Vegas Educational Experience

Las Vegas Meetings

Guests participated in networking events, educational sessions and a voluntourism project with St. Jude’s Ranch for Children.

Las Vegas Meetings (LVM) by Harrah’s Entertainment hosted the annual Las Vegas Educational Experience September 30 through October 3 across all eight properties: Bally’s Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas, Imperial Palace, Paris Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, and Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

Developed for meeting planners, as well as meetings trade and business media, the educational series was first launched by LVM by Harrah’s Entertainment in 2006, and has continued to evolve and grow each year. This year, LVM will present two separate events, hosting over 300 of the nation’s meeting planners; the second will take place November 11-14, 2010.

“This was our seventh Las Vegas Educational Experience, and it continues to grow in terms of popularity,” said Jordan D. Clark, VP of sales for LVM. “Planners tell us that they walk away with a wealth of knowledge and ideas that they can apply to their own programs and careers; and of course, for us it is valuable to have them see what we can do and all that Las Vegas has to offer.”

“We’ve been doing this event for a long time, and it continues to be a very effective way for us to let meeting planners know who we are and what we’re all about in a fun and energetic way, Michael Massari, VP of meeting sales and operations. “We want people to understand some of the unique aspects of our business culture and how we think about our customers and our team members. We can’t think of a better way to do all of that than by letting planners experience it for themselves.”

Set apart from the traditional familiarization trip, the Las Vegas Educational Experience is a genuine educational and developmental program where meeting professionals can gain information about the industry, network with colleagues, and earn continuing education credits for their CMP accreditation.

The participants spent three days experiencing first-hand the professionalism and benefits of working with the LVM team. Guests participated in networking events, educational sessions and a voluntourism project with St. Jude’s Ranch for Children.
