The Albany Capital Center will launch its new webinar series, Expert in the Room, on June 30 at 1 p.m. EST. The first session will address the topic of information technology and include a conversation between Doug McClaine (pictured above), general manager of the Albany Capital Center, and James Anilowski, (pictured right) co-owner and president of Tech Forward. It will cover what event planners should ask in relation to information technology and ways to better plan for future virtual and in-person events.
The series will discuss a wide range of topics in the event industry as it has taken on new formats in a COVID-19 reality, adhering to state and federal guidelines. Each episode will discuss updates and new protocols being implemented at the ACC as it prepares to open its doors again to in-person gatherings.
“It is important to address the questions of our partners and clients on what the new normal will look like in the era of COVID-19,” says ACC GM McClaine. “We are happy to see the engagement our community has had with our previous webinar, and we are excited for the opportunity to present the ‘Expert in the Room’ series. Additionally, we saw the demand for virtual events, and the need for assistance for them to be ran efficiently and professionally. Our production room will aid our clients in the hassle of the technology end of things and allow them to only worry about showing up for their virtual event.”
Due to precautions related to COVID-19, virtual and web-based events have served as a substitute for in-person gatherings. For virtual events to be successful, individuals and organizations need quiet, professional space with proper technology and internet connectivity. The ACC now offers a high-quality production room with an array of resources needed to execute flawless virtual events.
Webinar features and capabilities at the ACC include stations for seven panelists plus a moderator, with a set-up adhering to social distancing etiquette. Each panelist station includes a microphone, sound bar, camera and laptop. The ACC offers high-speed internet service, a quiet place to record, confidence monitors for panelists, full recording and live-stream capabilities, onsite technology support, and a newly developed pre-packaged menu is available courtesy of in-house catering team, Mazzone Hospitality.
Last month, the Albany Capital Center hosted a webinar focusing on what events, meetings and gatherings will look like in the future as event and meeting planners look to keep their guests and staff safe. To register for the upcoming Expert in the Room: Informational Technology Webinar, click here.
