Access TCA has promoted Amy Reed to director of meetings and events, reporting to Chief Creative Officer Bruce Morrow, who brought her onboard at M2Creative 12 years ago. Access acquired M2 early this year after more than a decade of partnership.
In her previous positions at M2Creative and Access, Reed directed new business, managed accounts and planned meetings and events. In her new capacity, she will oversee Access project managers in Atlanta, Las Vegas and Orlando.
Although Reed assumes new administrative responsibilities, she will not become a desk-bound executive. She will continue the personal client contact she thrives on, working directly with key clients and accompanying account directors to present new meeting and event proposals.
“I’m the first point of contact within the company for meetings and events,” said Reed. “I’ll take a look at each project and support the account director and the project manager throughout the process,”
Reed earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana University. After graduation, she took a job at a travel company with a goal to see the world. The position led to a career in meeting and event program management, where her unique, multi-faceted talents have netted success for Access.
“Amy brings an extraordinary talent to both the creative and logistical sides of the meetings and events business,” said Morrow. “Her remarkable skill in recognizing and meeting the needs of clients makes her perfect for this position. She’s the personification of our focus on client outcomes.”
Amy will be based in the Atlanta office, which will be the center for meetings and events management, as well as rental properties and innovation.
