AFR Furniture Rental, a national full-service furniture rental provider, made good on its promise to give back to communities devastated by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012.
Working with St. Bernard Project and its local affiliate, Friends of Rockaway, AFR is on a mission to make life a little easier for those still displaced from their homes in New Jersey and New York.
AFR provided funding for building supplies for the Andre home while the AFR Gives Back team worked to clean, install blinds, some exterior landscaping and then designed and furnished the residence with living, dining and bedroom sets, televisions, bathroom and kitchen items, accessories and more. Additionally at three other building sites, the team helped install flooring, hung drywall and painted for other homes in earlier stages of reconstruction and repair.
“We aren’t here just to be in business. We are actively involved in the communities where we live and work. We firmly believe that giving back to our neighbors, friends and fellow human beings is the right thing to do. When we see a need, we proactively get involved. We believe in paying it forward,” said Tricia Schmitt, vice president of Brand Management, AFR Furniture Rental.
Giving back and partnering in worthy causes is AFR’s way of showing support to clients and communities through educational opportunities, philanthropy and paying kindness forward.
