Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has added a new director of sales in their West Region. This new position is responsible for providing meeting professionals, association executives, convention specialists and business executives with dedicated ALHI National Sales Organization (NSO) services for its portfolio of more than 130 hotels and resorts worldwide.
Amy Butterfield, CMP, is the new director of sales and will primarily focus on business development for ALHI’s members in Southern California, including Los Angeles and San Diego, along with other strategic accounts. Butterfield is based in ALHI’s National Sales office in Southern California.
“Amy is an outstanding national sales professional with deep roots and excellent skills, and we’re very pleased that she is now part of ALHI’s National Sales team,” said David Gabri, ALHI President and CEO. “She will become a great resource and advocate for meeting professionals and executives in the West Region with her new responsibilities.”
Prior to joining ALHI, Butterfield served for five years as national sales manager for The Grand Del Mar, a member within ALHI’s portfolio. During her tenure at the magnificent San Diego resort, she was awarded Top Producer for four consecutive years.
Prior to Grand Del Mar, she served for seven years as the director of catering & convention services for Hyatt Regency La Jolla in La Jolla, Calif. She was nominated as Hyatt Corporation’s Director of Catering & Convention Services of the Year in 2005. She is a member of the Southern California chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), and the Southern California chapter of the Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE). Butterfield becomes the sixth professional serving in the ALHI National Sales Office (NSO) West Region team.
