Dawn EagletonAssociated Destinations Worldwide (ADW), the new Global Sales Organization (GSO) launched by Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) in October 2011, has named a new global sales manager. Built upon ALHI’s 25 years of National Sales experience, ADW specifically provides local GSO services to the U.S. and Canadian meetings and incentive marketplace for its world-class member destinations, upper-tier hotels, and first-class convention facilities from around the world.

In her new position, Dawn Eagleton is responsible for providing meeting planners, association executives, incentive/recognition specialists, and business executives in the eastern United States and Canada with dedicated ADW Global Sales Organization services. She is based in the ALHI/ADW Sales Office in Washington, D.C. The announcement of Eagleton’s appointment was made by Kevin Hinton, ADW executive vice president, who oversees ADW day-to-day sales operations and services.

Eagleton joins ADW from Tourism Toronto-Toronto Convention and Visitors Association, where she served for six years as Citywide Director for the U.S. Association sector for the Washington, D.C. and Southeast U.S. regions. In that position, she was responsible for developing meetings & conventions for Toronto, the largest city in Canada. Prior to that position, she served for two years as national sales manager for the Norfolk Convention and Visitors Bureau. Other experience includes serving as national sales manager for Sheraton, and as executive director of the Northeast Pennsylvania Convention and Visitors Bureau.

“We are very proud to have such an outstanding sales professional as Dawn on our Global Sales specialist team for Associated Destinations Worldwide,” said David Gabri, president and CEO of ALHI and ADW. “She is a highly motivated, results-driven sales professional with exceptional experience representing hotels and convention and visitors bureaus. She will be a tremendous asset for meeting planners, incentive specialists and business executives who have programs for distinctive first-class venues outside of the U.S.”

Eagleton is the incoming Vice-Chair of the ASAE Meetings & Exhibition Section Council and serves on the national Marketing Task Force for the PCMA Annual Meeting Program Committee. She is the Immediate Past Chair of the Sponsorship Committee for the PCMA Capital Chapter, and is an active member of the MPI Potomac Chapter, HSMAI DC Chapter, AMPs, and IAEE.

“Dawn is a highly skilled, internationally trained, and culturally astute Global Sales specialist who will focus on serving our North American meeting planner and incentive specialist clients with international solutions that will best suit their program needs,”said Hinton. “She is very adept at providing expert insight and innovative solutions, and will prove to be a very valuable resource to her clients.”
