Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau announces new VP of marketing

The Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau (AOCVCB), which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, has announced the appointment of a new vice president of marketing. The Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau is a non-profit marketing organization that promotes the Anaheim/Orange County area for leisure, conventions and meetings.


Christine Locke, the new VP, will be responsible for a number of marketing and promotional programs including organization and destination branding, advertising, destination marketing campaigns and online and new media outreach.

“We are very excited to have Christine Locke join the Bureau team,” said Charles Ahlers, president of the AOCVCB. “We are looking forward to strengthening our organization’s brand and expanding our destination marketing programs in 2011 under her leadership.”

Locke most recently lead the global marketing function of a major music industry company in Orange County. Christine has an extensive background in marketing and communications, and is an expert at cost effective tactical marketing programs.

“I’m very excited to join this organization during their 50th Anniversary year,” said Locke. “I look forward to working with the entire Bureau and its partners to develop innovative marketing strategies to further build the AOCVCB brand.”
