ASAE, the center for association leadership, has announced the hiring of a new VP of strategic partnerships. This new position will provide direction to the Alliance Partnership Program.
Dan Melesurgo, founder and principal of Plural Solutions, will also address the needs of a growing number of Alliance Partners.
“This new position emphasizes our commitment to ASAE’s Alliance Partners and further positions us as the best place to gain exposure within the association community,” said ASAE president and CEO John H. Graham IV. “Dan is well known and respected for his skills in the areas of strategy development, marketing, creation of partnership platforms and sales. He’s going to be a great asset to ASAE and our industry partners.”
Melesurgo will report to Karl Ely, CAE, vice president and publisher of Associations Now.
“I look forward to working closely with Dan to build on the high-quality offerings ASAE provides to our Alliance Partners,” said Ely. “Dan’s 25 years of experience in crafting partnership programs from both the sponsor and organization perspective will provide an enormous reservoir of creativity and continue to grow the Alliance program.”
Before he launched Plural Solutions, Melesurgo was executive director of meeting, convention and incentive travel sales for the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC). During his tenure, he was responsible for the creation of the business unit’s strategy and the expansion of the program to overseas markets.
“I’m very excited to be joining such a well respected organization and look forward to playing a part in the continued successes of ASAE,” said Melesurgo. “I will be able to utilize my vast experience to build upon an already successful program, while providing a unique perspective based on my diverse experience. It really is the perfect fit.”
