ASAE’s TEC 21 Showcased Tech-Driven Solutions

More than 560 association and industry professionals participated in ASAE’s Technology Exploration Conference (TEC 21) December 13-16, which utilized a combination of virtual and in-person programming to deliver content, learning and sponsor experiences.

TEC 21 included a fully virtual Demo Day for technology partners, a virtual learning day and face-to-face learning on days three and four at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel in Washington, DC.

Michelle Mason ASAEASAE’s goal with TEC 21 was to give association professionals and technology partners options to choose the type of engagement that best suited their needs,” said ASAE President and CEO Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE. “TEC 21 proves that an omni-channel approach to member engagement is a critical way for ASAE to deliver value to its stakeholders.”

From an industry partner perspective, 59 companies participated in various exclusive engagement opportunities this year, including thought leadership and visibility packages, as well as pathway tracks, keynote hosts and networking sessions. The TEC Insider Demos on Day 1 of TEC 21 included product and service presentations from 17 companies providing useful solutions and the latest technologies to heighten productivity. The ratio of buyers to sellers at TEC 21 was 66 percent buyers to 34 percent sellers.

Technology strategist Larry Irving kicked off TEC 21 with a virtual keynote presentation on Dec. 14 hosted by Fonteva, an ASAE Alliance Partner. Irving shared his insights on the future of technology and what’s coming down the pipeline. From wireless and cloud computing to applications and mobile services, Irving shared how the most successful companies are using new technology and how businesses should use social media.

Brian Solis, a best-selling author, digital anthropologist, futurist and global innovation evangelist at Salesforce, delivered the in-person keynote on December 15, focused on Generation-Novel and how modern disruptions in world affairs and the economy have expedited the rate at which customers of all types and ages have become digital-first.

ASAE thanks its Alliance Partners for making TEC 21 possible, including:
