The citywide sales team at Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) continues to grow with the hiring of Dave Sukala and Anna Williams as national account managers.
“Dave and Anna both bring valuable market knowledge that is important in attracting new business to the city,” says Tom Dolan, director of citywide sales, ACVB. “Atlanta has great momentum and our newest team members join us to continue promoting the destination as a world-class location for meetings and conventions.”
Sukala is charged with the California corporate and association market as well as attracting the top 250 trade shows to book events in Atlanta. He has more than 27 years of experience in the hospitality industry at many properties including Baha Mar Casino & Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and multiple roles with Marriott International. In his most recent role, Sukala served as a member of the sales team at Sheraton Atlanta.
Williams joins ACVB to attract citywide conventions of 1,200 room nights or greater on peak from the Midwest market. Hailing from Chicago, she has more than 10 years of hotel and destination experience with Hilton and Hyatt properties. Williams spent the last 11 years in Atlanta’s hospitality industry, with her most recent role at Juice Studios as associate director of sales.
Established in 1913, the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official destination marketing organization for the city and serves to favorably impact Atlanta’s economy through conventions and tourism. A private, not-for-profit organization, ACVB bolsters Atlanta’s $15 billion hospitality industry, which generated nearly 52 million visitors in 2016. For more info, visit atlanta.net.
