Meet AC is pleased to announce the Progressive Insurance Atlantic City Boat Show has signed a five year contract to return to the Atlantic City Convention Center for the years of 2019-2023.
The annual Progressive Insurance Atlantic City Boat Show gives boating enthusiasts and novices alike the opportunity to shop, compare and find competitive deals on everything from sport fishers and performance boats to sailboats and family cruisers, plus thousands of marine accessories and activities for all ages. This year, the Atlantic City Boat Show docks at the Atlantic City Convention Center March 1-5, 2017.
“Atlantic City offers one of the best locations to successfully promote recreational boating. Our invaluable relationship with Meet AC allows us to produce a world-class event attracting qualified consumers for our exhibiting partners to achieve financial success. This city along with our positive partnership with Meet AC is critical to the success of the boat show and our organization, which is why we are proud to announce our long-term lease agreement, which further demonstrates the importance of Atlantic City to the recreational boating industry,” said Jon Pritko, vice president-Northeast Shows, National Marine Manufacturers Association.
“We are thrilled to announce that the Progressive Insurance Atlantic City Boat Show has signed a five year contract to continue their annual show in Atlantic City at the Atlantic City Convention Center for the years of 2019-2023,” said Jim Wood, president and CEO for Meet AC. “The Atlantic City Boat Show brings in an estimated annual economic impact of $5 million to Atlantic City. The convention industry has a tremendous impact on Atlantic City’s economy as evidenced by the vast impact the 35,000 attendees will have on our local hotels, restaurants, retail outlets and casinos each year,” Wood said.
The Progressive Insurance Atlantic City Boat Show is produced by the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the world’s largest producer of boat shows and the leading association representing the recreational boating industry. NMMA member companies produce more than 80 percent of the boats, engines, trailers, accessories and gear used by boaters and anglers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Meet AC, Inc., a tourism economic development agency, was officially formed as a 501(c)(6) organization on June 23, 2014. Prior to its formation, the Meetings and Convention sales and marketing group was operating under the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.
