AWE Partners with IMEX

The Association for Women in Events, a not-for-profit organization supporting gender equality and diversity in the events industry, has joined the ranks of leading industry associations to partner with IMEX in several capacities for its 2018 show in Las Vegas next week.

AWE will be at booth A4120 and will offer pre-launch access to an exciting new membership offering for IMEX attendees. Attendees are invited to stop by the booth at their convenience to learn more about the AWE mission and to receive a special discount on membership. Hosted buyers are encouraged to request an appointment.

Happy Hour

AWE, the Event Tech Tribe and the Women in Event Tech movement are co-hosting a Women in Events Happy Hour at IMEX dedicated to the women who are pushing boundaries and championing others. Organized by AWE Board Member Marie-Claire Andrews, the Women in Events Happy Hour will take place on Oct. 16, from 4:30-6 p.m. at booth F1464. Women from across the events industry are welcome. Attendees will learn about AWE and receive access to a special discount on membership. AWE will give away two lifetime memberships to AWE during the happy hour. The happy hour will be joined by Carina Bauer, CEO of IMEX. 2018 Hall of Fame Inductees hosted by IMEX

IMEX sponsors all 2018 Women in Events Hall of Fame inductees with complimentary attendance, accommodation and roundtrip airfare to IMEX 2018. Five of this year’s inductees will attend IMEX via this special sponsorship: Courtney Stanley, Carole McKellar, Annette Gregg, Sabrina Millet-Kanabar and Jon’ll Boyd. AWE Co-Founder and past President, Carrie Abernathy, CMP, CEM, CSEP; AWE Vice-President, Julie Sullivan, CMP, CEM, CTA and board members Marie-Claire Andrews and Stephanie Selesnick, CEM, will meet and congratulate these inductees in person.

The Association for Women in Events is an inclusive community dedicated to the professional advancement of women in all facets of the events industry.
