BESydney hosts event to highlight new projects

Business Events Sydney (BESydney) is hosting an event specifically focusing on bringing business events to Sydney, Austrailia. The event is also an opportunity to learn more about the impact proposed infrastructure projects in Sydney will have on the city’s future business events growth.

BESydney, as the official bidding agency for securing business events for Sydney, is anticipating significant infrastructure development and renewal.

“There are exciting plans on the drawing board and underway, including the refresh and redevelopment of the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre and Darling Harbour precinct, the much discussed Barangaroo project, the refurbishment of Star City and other great new projects,” said Jon Hutchison, BESydney CEO. “These developments are essential for Sydney to maintain its place as a leading international host city for corporate, professional and association conferences and exhibitions.”

The importance of the new projects will be discussed at seminar, as well as what is needed to maximize the opportunity presented by new government and new infrastructure.
Bringing together leading global experts from cities such as Amsterdam, Vienna, Seoul and London, BESydney will examine the international business events environment, including Sydney’s future direction, the benefits of this industry beyond tourism, and its role in economic growth for the State.

“Sydney is embarking on a journey of transformation and renewal,” said Hutchinson. “It is a ‘new Sydney’ we are working toward. We are looking forward to new challenges and spearheading business development and marketing efforts to secure business events for the State.”
