Brian Baker Joins Exhibitus as Partner/VP Creative & Strategy

Exhibitus is pleased to announce that industry veteran and creative thought leader Brian Baker has joined the company as partner and vice president–creative & strategy.

With more than 25 years of experience, first as an exhibit designer, then a creative team leader, Baker has evolved a strategic approach to successful face-to-face marketing. By building partnerships with clients, he leads the development of a brand story that demonstrates value and resonates with customers and prospects. His award-winning work confirms that every aspect of the exhibit environment, from the architectural structure and its components, to messaging and engagement opportunities, must be designed to articulate and amplify that story.

“We are excited to add Brian’s leadership experience and passion for the very best in strategy, design and execution to the Exhibitus team,” says Brad Falberg, president of Exhibitus. “Design has always been at the heart of our strategic philosophy, and Brian’s thought leadership and proven approach are a perfect fit for our goal of taking Exhibitus clients to the next level of turning vision into value.”

In 2017, Baker was named EDPA’s Michael R. Westcott Designer of the Year. This award acknowledges a designer who works diligently to enhance the professional standards of the industry, as well as contributes talents and creativity to industry innovations. Baker teaches a required class at ExhibitorLIVE on graphics, and continues to work with the EDPA mentor program through both Bemidji State University and Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Baker has written and collaborated on articles for many industry publications, including Exhibit City News, Exhibitor and Event Marketer. He is active in EDPA, both as a speaker and as a Southeast chapter board member.

Most recently, Baker was vice president at Highmark TechSystems where he led efforts in strategy, product development, marketing, and business development. He took a lead role in collaborating with the industry’s creative leaders and designers. During his tenure, he helped launch several new initiatives, including an entirely new brand, “Highmark Outdoor.”

For 17 years, he was the creative director at MC² Atlanta, where he led the creative team with a focus on building targeted, immersive environments and experiences. During his time at MC², Baker and his team developed many award-winning solutions and immensely successful programs.

Baker has worked with many high-profile clients including Coca-Cola, Intel, Best Buy, The Home Depot, FedEx, Anheuser Busch, Philips, Michelin, Volvo, The Weather Channel, State Farm and The Atlanta Braves. He studied design at the world–renowned Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University.
