Convention Data Services announced June 25 that Dave Wuethrich (pictured above) has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, a new position within CDS. Wuethrich, an 18-year veteran with CDS, is set to oversee product and service delivery of events and report directly to John Kimball, president and CEO.
“Dave is the backbone of our operating structure and will continue working closely with our clients and partners to ensure that we deliver the industry’s highest quality products and services,” says Kimball. “He is a seasoned and trusted leader who consistently achieves results. His hands-on experience, work ethic and commitment to our clients, employees and community will be instrumental to his success in this new role. While this is good news for CDS, it’s even better news for our trusted clients and industry partners.”
Effective immediately, Wuethrich assumes operational responsibility for all aspects of events, from kickoff to post conference, with the goal of partnering with clients to make each event a success. He will work closely with Kimball on the company’s product and service delivery strategy and execution.

Wuethrich joined CDS in 2000 and began working onsite with clients, exhibitors and attendees. During his tenure at CDS, Wuethrich has directly managed a variety of departments including quality assurance, web development, integration services and event services. He founded the product development department and has been instrumental in spearheading initiatives for new products.
Wuethrich lives in Swansea, Mass., with his wife and three children. When not traveling to client events, he can be found on the sidelines watching his children’s many sporting events and activities. He is very active with his alma mater, Johnson and Wales University, and has created a CDS boot camp for interns.
