To ensure the annual CEIR Index continues to be the important source and predictive tool for the exhibitions and events industry data, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR), a non-profit organization with the mission of advancing the growth, awareness and value of exhibitions and other face-to-face marketing events, announced the launch of a new support campaign.
Funds raised will directly support the unbiased, uninfluenced and trusted publication that the annual CEIR Index has become. This critical initiative will allow the Index to grow into a more robust and predictive tool which thousands of industry professionals use to organize and plan their exhibitions and events.
“AEM is proud to be a partner of CEIR and support the development of the CEIR Index on an annual basis. There is no doubt that the Index helps drive the smart decisions we make for CONEXPO CON/AGG, and we consistently see growth based, in part, on the strategies we’ve implemented as a result of the hard data in the Index,” said Dennis Slater, chairman of the CEIR Board of Directors and president for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers.
Ensuring the success of the exhibitions and events industry as the premier marketing medium by supporting research, promotion and education is CEIR’s mission. The CEIR Index is the annual report counted on by industry organizations, associations and corporations, who plan, manage and value events as part of their portfolio.
The organization invests thousands of dollars each year to produce the Index to help organizations better comprehend and predict market conditions for their events. It not only provides past data, but also the information needed to understand what the sectors and the industry as a whole may see over the next three years. For the past three years, CEIR’s economists have been successful with their economic forecasts when it was implemented, proving that the Index is a reliable source.
“In today’s economy, we need to invest in resources to address our industry’s greatest challenges. The CEIR Index is the ideal platform because it transcends the industry and allows all sectors to be viewed both individually and collectively,” said CEIR President and CEO Brian Casey, CEM.
“CEIR now needs more organizations to step forward to make a much-needed financial investment in CEIR so the Index does not disappear.”
CEIR as a foundation is exclusively positioned to serve as the exhibitions and events industry’s source that will make fundamental, positive differences in the way exhibition companies do business. Likewise, the CEIR Index is unique because it truly is an industry-wide resource which embodies the spirit of collaboration and serves to eliminate duplication.
