CEIR and DoubleDutch create a mobile app for CEIR Predict

Selecting DoubleDutch as a mobile app provider, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) geared up for CEIR Predict, the exhibition industry’s premier outlook conference, which started on Sept. 12.

“We are very excited about this partnership with CEIR,” said Lawrence Coburn, CEO, DoubleDutch. “As CEIR is a thought leader in exhibition industry research, this partnership confirms the confidence event professionals have in DoubleDutch. Events like CEIR Predict are important to the industry, and we are happy to be a part of it.”

Using the CEIR Index as the foundation for the event, Predict provided an objective measure of the annual performance of the exhibition industry and displayed changes and predictions through 2015.

Working with DoubleDutch, CEIR took its mobile app offering to the next level for Predict attendees. With readily accessible information, attendees could quickly access the tools and information they need from their mobile devices. After the event, the information was uploaded and could be accessed anytime and anywhere, keeping the content relevant and fresh for the user.

“Not only is the advanced technology in line with strategic objectives of providing turnkey solutions for its Predict attendees, but it also offers an innovative service for a technologically savvy event,” said Cathy Breden, executive director, CEIR. “DoubleDutch’s technology will enhance the experience for attendees when it comes to easily accessing presentations, speakers and session information, and CEIR is excited to collaborate with DoubleDutch to implement this tool.”

Interacting with presenters and colleagues, attendees were able to share best practices, ideas and future strategies. Event attendance was limited to exhibition organizer executives, merger and acquisition firms, private equity firms, debt providers, investment firms and the financial press, allowing for an intimate high-level idea exchange about the future of the exhibition industry.
