CES Announces Four Keynote Speakers

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has announced four keynote speakers for its 2019 convention, including LG Electronics President and CTO Dr. I.P. Park, IBM President and CEO Ginni Rometty, Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg and AMD President and CEO Dr. Lisa Su.

LG EDr. I.P. Park, President and Chief Technology Officer, LG Electronics Inc.lectronics will deliver the pre-show keynote address, offering fresh perspectives on the evolving artificial intelligence (AI) landscape, while exploring how AI will impact the lives of consumers in the years ahead.

LG is a global powerhouse at the forefront of the AI revolution, which will impact nearly every major industry from technology to healthcare, agriculture, transportation, engineering and beyond.

LG Electronics President and Chief Technology Officer Dr. I.P. Park (pictured left) is driving artificial intelligence as the company’s main growth engine, focusing on self-evolving products, a seamless connected user experience and open platforms.

Dr. Park is recognized as one of the world’s top CTOs for his achievements in leading R&D teams to spur innovation through AI, cloud computing, IoT and user experience related to connected cars, mobile devices, smart TVs and audio systems.

Verizon Verizon CEO Hans Vestbergand its CEO Hans Vestberg (pictured left) will explore the future of connectivity through 5G as it fuels new technologies and services that will blend our physical and digital worlds.

Verizon is the world’s first commercial 5G broadband internet service, and as a global internet backbone, Verizon’s undersea cable network carries much of the world’s internet traffic. Vestberg will take a deep dive into the impact of 5G that will change our world for the better—from building smart cities infrastructure to improving education, aiding first responders and beyond.

Vestberg previously served as Verizon’s chief technology officer and president of Global Networks, and before joining Verizon, he served for six years as president and CEO of Ericsson.
