CIBTM, China’s leading meetings, incentives and business travel exhibition, is set to take place from Sept. 2-4 at the China National Convention Centre (CNCC) in Beijing and is poised to be its largest show to date.
Hosted-buyer applications have doubled this year as many top-level meetings buyers with proven purchasing power sign up to place their business with both regional and international participating exhibitors. CIBTM also has witnessed a notable increase in the amount of corporate and association trade visitors who have signed up to attend the show.
“The majority of our exhibitors want to meet with associations and corporates as this is where a lot of the big business in the meetings industry lies,” said Jeffrey Xu, CIBTM project manager, Reed Travel Exhibitions. “The quality of trade-visitor registrations this year has been very promising, and we are delighted to see such a rise in the number of associations and corporates. These factors combined will definitely enhance the return on investment achieved from meetings buyers and exhibitors who are looking to break into new markets.”
CIBTM has also signed up a number of major Chinese outbound international destinations to exhibit at the show this year, including the United States, Canada, Italy, Munich, Madrid, Brussels, Switzerland, Vienna, Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, Macau, New Zealand and Australia.
