ClassicMODUL opens southeast US extrusion facility

ClassicMODUL, a designer and manufacturer of aluminum extrusions and accessories, has announced the opening of a southeast U.S. facility. The Birmingham, Ala., manufacturing and warehouse facility will stock select aluminum extrusion profiles for exhibit houses, retail designers, and museum display builders.

The Birmingham facility allows the company to ship MODUL extrusion from three regional depots: Birmingham, Ala.; Cheshire, Conn.; and Portland, Ore. This regional approach reduces shipping expense and delivery times for customers.

The southeast and northeast facilities will stock over 20 common profiles. These profiles include RR 125/8, RR 91, Q 914, S 44, S 80, as well as many other GS, RSG, and Z extrusions.

Aluminum profiles and accessories currently unavailable in Birmingham will continue to ship from Portland. With the exception of CNC bending, the southeast facility can handle all manufacturing requests, including cutting, installing locks and assembly.

“We are excited by this opportunity to better meet the needs of our clients on East and West Coasts and anywhere in between,” said Kevin Carty, VP of sales. “Now with locations in the northwest, southeast, and the northeast, ClassicMODUL offers much greater shipping flexibility. Choosing the right aluminum profiles was important and we want to thank our distributors for their feedback. We feel confident that we have chosen the right location, the right partner, and the right group of extrusions.”
