The five-star Las Americas International Convention Center and Hotel in Cartagena, Colombia, is expanding to meet growing demand.
The new meeting space at the hotel’s convention center will feature a main conference room with capacity for 1,000 guests, an area for commercial exhibitions able to accommodate 130 booths, as well as VIP rooms, storage rooms for exhibition material, and operation areas for kitchens and restaurants.
Additionally, the first floor will include two exterior plazas for easy installation of large exhibition structures. Larger parking spaces will also be available for exhibitors. The hotel will have a heliport on the roof, making the facility accessible for VIP’s and celebrities.
To support the increased demand for accommodation the convention space expansion will incur, the hotel is constructing a new 10-floor building with 270 rooms; a new business center with three conference rooms, two restaurants and three bars. The new building will be called “Torre Cielo Mar,” which translates to Sky Sea Tower.
Hotel Las Americas is located on beach front property, just ten minutes from the Walled City and five minutes from the Rafael Nunez International Airport, making it a convenient location for international meetings.
