Officials for the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) have signed a three-year deal with Convention Data Services (CDS) to provide registration and lead management services for their event, the AACC Annual Meeting and Clinical Lab Expo.
The AACC formerly managed its own registration in-house but wanted to improve the registration process with new technology. They selected CDS based on the company’s extensive experience with medical shows, strong on-site management and expertise in data integrations.
“We chose CDS because the company offered us an affordable registration option that would move our registration process forward,” said Gail Mutnik, director of meetings, AACC. “Specifically, we were interested in the Expo Guest Pass and the Attendee Exhibit Tracker, which provide attendees with a list of exhibitors they visited during the event.”
CDS officials cited their customer service and technology as key factors in securing the deal.
“CDS is excited about beginning this new partnership with a prestigious organization like the AACC,” said David Lawton, executive vice president, CDS. “We believe that our technology and customer service are an excellent fit for a long-term partnership.”
AACC is an international scientific/medical society of clinical laboratory professionals, physicians, research scientists and other individuals involved with clinical chemistry and related disciplines. Founded in 1948, the society has more than 8,000 members and is headquartered in Washington D.C.
Located in Bourne, Mass., CDS has provided state-of-the-art registration, database management, exhibitor lead retrieval services and event marketing to the tradeshow industry for more than 25 years. For the fifth consecutive year, the company was named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.
