Detra Page Leaves GES for DRI

The tradeshow and events industry is sending congratulations and best wishes to Detra Page, who recently became communications manager at the Desert Research Institute, a leading environmental research institution, after more than 16 years with GES in Las Vegas.

Page says, “DRI conducts fascinating scientific research globally, and I’m honored to join the DRI team.” DRI has campuses in both Las Vegas and Reno.

Page started as a public relations manager for GES in 2004 and became their senior manager of corporate communications in 2015. She was the primary contact with media across North America and secondary media contact for global media. She managed their social media, corporate blog, award and speaker submissions along with being skilled in issues management, executive-level communication and coaching, media relations, strategic labor relations and M&A communications to internal and external stakeholders. Exhibit City News will always be grateful for her expertise, professionalism and kindness. “Detra was instrumental in getting all the permissions needed for one of our cover shots in my first year as editor-in-chief of Exhibit City News,” says Jeanne Brei. “She went above and beyond to help us after hearing what we needed—and she accomplished it before our print deadline.”

Page’s Linked-in post announcing her new position at Desert Research Institute is nearing 100 well-wishers thanking her for all she did while working for GES. Count ECN in among those who wish her the best!
