Lake Tahoe Convention & Visitors Bureaus, a joint effort between California’s Tahoe South and Nevada’s North Lake Tahoe, hired a sales and marketing professional to be their director of Eastern regional sales.
Promoting Lake Tahoe as a travel destination for meetings and conferences is Amy Nostrand, who has extensive experience leading regional sales teams for Kansas City and Baltimore and hotel experience with Marriott, Westin and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts.
“With her experience with hotels and destination marketing organizations, we feel that Amy is perfect to relay the message that Lake Tahoe is superb for business events and meetings,” said Bill Hoffman, executive director, Incline Village Crystal Bay Visitors Bureau.
Nostrand brings nearly 25 years of marketing and strategy experience with her. Most recently, she worked for Marriott International following nine years as senior consultant for Leadership Synergies LLC.
“[Lake Tahoe] has so many choices when it comes to unique space for planning sessions, strategic meetings and team-building events,” said Nostrand. “It truly doesn’t get any better than this when it comes to building unforgettable business experiences.”
Nostrand has been nominated for two top-notch sales awards and was selected as Manager of the Year at the Grand Hyatt Washington in 1994.
