ECN Goes To TLS Productions, Inc., New Branch, Warehouse Warming In Las Vegas

Never one to pass up a party, ECN headed to the new branch,  warehouse warming for TLS Productions, Inc., on October 28 for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a chance to meet the TLS family. Pictured L-R are CEO Brad Hayes, account executive Emily Ann Jugowicz, ECN editor Jeanne Brei and TLS president Bill Ross, who were all in Las Vegas gearing up for SEMA.

The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based lighting, rigging, and A/V design and production company, has recently expanded to a new 7,000 sq.ft. branch in Henderson, just off Auto Show Drive at 7350 Eastgate. Founded in 1954 and with a 55,000 sq.ft. office, warehouse, and pre viz studio in Michigan, TLS Productions has been involved in an ever-increasing amount of production and rental related opportunities in Las Vegas, so they secured a warehouse and office space that will help them to better serve the Las Vegas market, and also allow them to better serve their West Coast clientele. Already very busy with all the car shows (the video screen behind Ross shows them building an amazing booth for Toyota), they’re looking forward to branching out and diversifying with more tradeshows in Las Vegas. This fall has kept them hopping with the opening of the State Fair of Texas, the Orange County International Auto Show, the 2017 SEMA Show, San Francisco Auto Show, the Central Florida Auto Show, the Arizona Auto Show, and the Los Angeles Auto Show. And then there’s CES looming in the new year!

Production manager Dan LaPorte is based in Las Vegas along with Toby the Warehouse Tiger (both pictured left) with Brei. LaPorte, inspired by his involvement with high school theater and at the Community College of Southern Nevada, became a member of IATSE Local 720 in 2002. He has since worked on a wide range of events including live television, movies, network TV series, award shows, concerts, red carpets events, conventions, trade shows, and theater – gaining 15 years of experience as a programmer, head electrician, and crew chief alongside 10 years as a lighting designer and master electrician.
