Earlier this year, edgefactory, an experience-based and technology-driven full service media production company, partnered with the Special Olympic USA Games to provide logistics and support for its Healthy Athlete Experience. edgefactory assisted in the design and implementation of an intuitive and accessible queue line system to coordinate 12,000 athletes receiving medical screenings over a seven day period.
The result was the creation of a queue system that utilized digital signage, physical signage and other visual/audio cues to make wayfinding as seamless as possible. The event proved that the integration of technology and creative media can be used in planning to enhance the accessibility of an event.
