Edlen Electrical Exhibition Services, the nation’s largest independent electrical contractor to the convention and tradeshow industry, promoted an employee within its Miami office.
Congratulations to Vanessa Alenier, who received a promotion to general manager! In her new position, she will be responsible for all aspects of the Miami operation, which includes the tri-county areas of Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.
Alenier joined Edlen in 1995. During the past 19 years, she has held the positions of event manager, office manager and national sales manager prior to becoming assistant general manager in 2012.
She has assisted in the production of such events as Art Basel Miami Beach, Graphics of the Americas, the Miami International Auto Show, the Florida International Medical Expo, Solar Power International and IDEA.
Additionally, Alenier has managed electrical operations at the Fontainebleau since the November 2008 Grand Opening, including overseeing such events as the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Live With Regis and Kelly and Lady Gaga’s New Year’s Eve Concert.
Rick Bredenberg, regional vice president, will continue to stay actively involved in the operation of the Miami office in addition to overseeing electrical operations nationwide.
Edlen’s Miami office opened in 1975 and will be celebrating 40 years serving the southern Florida event industry in 2015. Edlen’s Miami team produced 468 events in 2013 and is on a record pace in 2014.
