Currently expanding its outdoor space by 30,000 square feet, Florida’s Emerald Coast Convention Center will have the ability to host large events, according to convention center officials.
To be completed by March, the expansion project will ensure the convention center won’t have to turn down shows due to insufficient space, and it will provide an outdoor area capable of holding 2,500 people.
The expansion costs about $900,000, which is funded through the Okaloosa County bed tax.
Residing in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., the Emerald Coast Convention Center provides a 21,000 square-feet column-free exhibition space.
