EuroCIS 2027 Books 90 Percent of Exhibit Space

EuroCIS 2027 has booked 90 percent of its available exhibit space as organizers begin allocating hall space. The retail technology tradeshow will take place Feb. 16-18, 2027, in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The event will use an updated layout spanning two and a half halls. In addition, organizers announced six Hot Topics for the 2027 program. They cover artificial intelligence, data, workforce technology, retail media, checkout systems, loss prevention, and payment technology.

“We are starting to allocate hall space with very good booking levels: 90% of the area available is already booked. This underlines retail technology’s continued great relevance for the sector,” said Elke Moebius, director of EuroCIS.

Six technology themes set for 2027

EuroCIS developed the six Hot Topics with EHI Retail Institute, the event’s conceptual sponsor. The themes focus on technology investments affecting retail operations and customer service.

AI & Data-Driven Retail will examine how retailers use inventory, sales, and market data to guide decisions. Topics include product selection, pricing, demand forecasts, and the use of artificial intelligence to analyze data.

Meanwhile, Employee Empowerment will focus on workforce management, mobile task management, and other digital tools. These systems aim to reduce routine work and give employees more time for customer service.

Retail Media will cover physical and digital retail spaces used as advertising platforms. For example, the topic includes digital signs, in-store screens, and electronic shelf labels.

Future Checkout will address self-service systems, digital receipts, artificial intelligence-assisted product recognition, and other changes to checkout operations.

In addition, Loss Prevention will examine artificial intelligence-based video analysis, real-time inventory controls, fraud detection, and sensors used to identify risks and protect assets.

Future Payment will focus on payment options throughout the retail environment. These include cash, cards, mobile payments, biometrics, instant payments, and digital currencies.

EuroCIS will also feature special areas addressing cybersecurity and retail catering. Its supporting program will include stages, guided innovation tours, awards, and other special areas.
