EuroCIS Virtual Connect enables virtual interaction all year
With EuroCIS Virtual Connect (V-connect), all members of the EuroCIS community can now stay connected virtually 365 days a year. “As a trade fair for technological and digital solutions, it makes sense to expand the service offerings with a virtual, year-round interaction platform. Direct contact and on-site experiences are indispensable, but an online presence with all its possibilities is just as important,” stated Elke Moebius, Project Director Retail & Retail Technology at Messe Düsseldorf. From the EuroCIS live event, visitors and exhibitors are already familiar with digital services such as the EuroCIS App, Scan2Lead and the well-known matchmaking tool. These are now being supplemented by new, year-round offers: Exhibitors have the opportunity to present themselves in multimedia form, visitors and exhibitors can make contact online and exchange industry knowledge and ideas.
In the Exhibition Space, exhibitors can present their highlights and solutions to the visitors in a virtual showroom. This – in addition to the physical trade fair stand – creates a platform for the digital experience of the brand, independent of location and time. Thanks to V-connect, exhibitors stay in contact with a highly qualified international retail community 365 days a year. “There is no question that trade fairs are a lively hub for industries. What is now becoming exciting is that we are expanding this world to include the virtual sphere, in which direct and professional exchange is also possible between the trade fairs,” explained Elke Moebius.
Through web sessions exhibitors can address and involve their audience live and interactively. They can stream their presentations live at a set time and day while participants can interact via live chat during the web sessions. The video stream is recorded and made available for interested trade visitors at any time.
The digital matchmaking features of EuroCIS make it easier for visitors and exhibitors to connect. With the matchmaking app, they can communicate and plan appointments in real time, while an intelligent algorithm learns to provide ever better contact suggestions. Through the new “Virtual Meeting Room” and social media channels and groups, the EuroCIS community can tap into a vast potential of industry connections – for “business around the world & around the clock.”
The New Retail Salsa
The new virtual web talks – the Retail Salsa – will feature retailers, solutions providers and independent industry experts regularly reporting on successful customer journeys and using practical case studies. Every month the Retail Salsa will address a different theme in the web talk. EuroCIS exhibitors who want to be featured as a web talk participant can sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/y6t9dg3c. Hosting the Retail Salsa will be EuroShop, the World’s No.1 Retail Trade Fair, and iXtenso, the journal for retailers.
EuroShop 3|6|5 – Your Community mag
EuroCIS also forms an essential component of EuroShop 3|6|5 – Your Community mag
(https://mag.euroshop.de/en/) – a communication platform for industry topics, news and insights and industry meeting point for everyone involved in the retail and exhibition industries. This is where the EuroCIS community can find relevant information as well as a range of target-group specific participation options in the “Retail Technology” section.
PROTaction – staging trade fairs safely
Messe Düsseldorf has developed a hygiene and infection protection protocol (https://tinyurl.com/y4vplxcr) based on the COVID-19 Protection Ordinance of the German state North Rhine-Westphalia (CoronaSchVO NRW), ensuring compliance with all required health precautions and distancing rules at all upcoming events at the Düsseldorf fairgrounds. This concept was already successfully used at the Caravan Salon trade fair in September. The EuroCIS team has also adapted space allocations inside the halls to meet official requirements. Wider aisles and consistent routing make it possible to keep the minimum 6 feet distance in a safe and effective manner. Spacious entrance and waiting zones ensure quick and orderly access while a large number of sanitizing dispensers have been installed in highly visible locations. Special guides ensure that larger gatherings of visitors are avoided and that hygiene protection rules, such as the wearing masks covering both mouth and nose, are properly followed.
Energy Storage Europe held concurrently
Held concurrently with EuroCIS 2021 will be Energy Storage Europe, the International Trade Fair for Energy Systems, Solutions, Services (https://www.eseexpo.com/). Here the specialist retail audience can find technical solutions, hard and software suppliers as well as funding opportunities for various energy storage systems.
At the last edition of EuroCIS in February 2019, 471 exhibitors from 29 countries showcased their innovations on 144,000 square feet of net exhibition space to 12,000 trade visitors from five continents.
