Event goers can learn to ‘braindate’

E-180 Inc. debuted Braindater, its first mobile application, at C2MTL. Similar to Tinder, but for knowledge, it connects event attendees for spontaneous braindates — one-on-one meetups based on what they are looking to learn or share.

ECN 062015_NTL_Event goers can learn to ‘braindate’Braindater transforms any event into a peer-learning community using E-180 Labs’ matchmaking technology.

“People are the best asset of any conference” explained Christine Renaud, CEO and co-founder of E-180 Inc. “While many apps have tried helping event attendees find that valuable stranger in a crowded event, few go beyond providing a list of participants and their titles. That’s where the Braindater comes into play.”

Braindater uses knowledge-sharing as a basis for meaningful discussions and connections among event attendees. By unveiling the offers and requests of knowledge of attendees available around them and available right now, Braindater adds a layer of relevance and playfulness to the existing set of geobased people-discovery apps. It drastically cuts down on unproductive time at conferences.

Braindater’s flow is simple and intuitive. After browsing the Offers and Requests for knowledge available at the precise moment (ex. How to use meditation to enhance innovation in my company), the user can send up to 3 anonymous brain date invites. As soon as another user accepts, they are both prompted a mission screen asking them to find each other at the Brain dating lounge. It’s that simple!
