Exhibit City News Announces “Shop to Showfloor” I&D Series for Labor Industry Beginning January 2017

stsExhibit City News (ECN), a trade publication serving the meeting, tradeshow and convention industries, announced today the magazine’s new upcoming, dedicated and permanent section focusing on event labor and installation and dismantle services (I&D). Beginning in its January 2017 edition, this new “Shop to Showfloor” section will explore the tradeshow labor industry’s growth, challenges, trends, and people in the post-recession period.

“I&D is a force in the exhibit industry, an important segment of the supplier community, and one that can make or break a program’s budget,” said Don Svehla, ECN publisher. “The primary goal of the series is to educate customers – exhibit and event managers – that I&D labor is not all the same. This new section will also help to reverse the perception that labor is a commodity, and to illustrate that many more factors other than cost weigh into the selection of labor crews.”

Throughout, industry experts and companies will be making contributions on the state of I&D, including business trends, opportunities and challenges, along with forecasts for the future. Contributions will be featured not only in print in ECN, but also on its leading industry website (www.ExhibitCityNews.com) and in monthly I&D Series news blasts.

“We will feature a comprehensive state of the industry, combining knowledge gained from decades of experience with deep research into the current market,” Svehla added. “To accomplish this, we will engage readers, professionals, companies and organizations.”

ECN will also host and moderate discussions on key topics and issues within the I&D community across multiple digital marketing channels. Industry experts will answer questions and share experiences via Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn on an ongoing basis.
