Installation and dismantle labor will be the focus of expanded coverage from Exhibit City News (ECN) in 2026, with a multi-part editorial series examining the people, practices, and pressures behind exhibit installation and teardown work.
The I&D Series will run primarily online from April through October, with monthly articles addressing labor-related topics relevant to the exhibit and event industry. Coverage will draw on industry experience and practical perspectives from across the I&D community.
Select print coverage will appear in ECN’s Q2 and Q4 2026 issues. The series will debut in print with an I&D-focused article and related editorial placement in Q2, followed by a more expanded I&D section in Q4.
In addition to written coverage, ECN plans to host a series of panel discussions beginning in May. The panels will be hosted by Jim Wurm, executive director of the Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Association (EACA), and a longtime tradeshow executive with experience on both the show management and exhibit services sides of the industry.
“This coverage allows us to take a closer look at I&D labor over time, rather than as a one-off topic,” said Don Svehla, publisher of ECN. “By combining digital articles, print features, and live discussions, we can explore different facets of an essential part of the tradeshow ecosystem.”
Additional installments of the I&D Series are planned later in 2026.
