Exhibit Resources utilizes solar panels

Solar panel installation began at Exhibit Resources, a full-service exhibit design and production agency, according to Lana Calloway, CEO.

Exhibit Resources started creating opportunities for quality renewable energy solutions with the help of Argand Energy Solutions, a leader in the installation, design and development of solar projects in the Carolinas and southeastern U.S.

“While attending a B Corp meeting, my interest piqued as we discussed the benefits and paybacks of solar power,” said Calloway. “We perceive the solar panels as a positive return on our investment as well as a commitment to sustainability.” B Corps are socially responsible and environmentally friendly companies.‎

Installation began April 17. A photovoltaic (PV) system mounted on the roof of Exhibit Resources will produce approximately 598,300 kWh of AC power and eliminate 930,600 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

“Exhibit Resources have shown a strong commitment toward creating jobs and environmental stewardship by participating in our efforts to develop commercial solar energy installations in North Carolina,” said Rob Lease, vice president of sales, Argand Energy Solutions.

The electricity generated by the panels will be metered and supplied to the grid by Duke Energy’s distribution system through 2028 and beyond. After 20 years, Exhibit Resources receives a full-ownership option and use of the PV system to power its building.
