Experient has announced its ability to process foreign currency for international shows. All credit card and financial transactions can be executed in the respective native currency, such as Australian dollars, euros, pounds and other currencies.
Event organizers with shows in foreign countries for years have struggled with paying unwieldy conversion fees and taxes on show revenue. To make matters worse, fluctuating conversion rates traditionally have presented challenges with paying local vendors, refunding attendees and exhibitors and executing accurate accounting practices.
Experient’s foreign currency-processing capabilities enables organizers of international shows to provide a much better customer service experience for attendees and exhibitors. Fundamentally, an individual registers through an online or on-site system that offers native currency options. Vendors and partners are paid in their native currencies more quickly and easily. Foreign currency-processing also enables visible assimilation for the host organization into world markets.
First launched at the recent PMI Global Conference in Marseille, France, foreign currency-processing is being deployed for all of Experient’s international shows.
“The ability to process transactions in euros has opened new opportunities for PMI,” said Brian Strickland, CASE, director of strategic accounts, Experient. “It plays into a greater global strategy for most of our clients as they expand to include countries and markets that previously were financially and operationally inaccessible.”
Experient, a Maritz Travel Company, provides registration, housing, event planning and management, site sourcing/contract negotiation and lead-retrieval services for associations, tradeshows and governmental clients.
