Jeff Price, CEO of Experient, announced Kenneth D. Romeo has been hired as senior vice president, housing and customer services, responsible for Experient’s housing services, customer service, client accounting and data management departments.
Romero comes to Experient from Cygnus Expositions, where he was vice president of operations since 2002. Prior to that, he held a number of progressively demanding roles involving hotel, vendor and facility relationships, registration, housing, exhibitor and attendee services for major industry organizations.
“Ken’s broad industry experience, operations background, impressive track record and enthusiasm for team-based success will serve us well,” said Price. “Ken is an example of our ongoing commitment of hiring the most talented professionals for our executive team in order to grow the company and achieve our strategic operational goals.”
The Experient Vernon Hills service center, where Romero will be stationed, has 80 employees and hosts Experient’s largest customer service call center. Romero replaces Katie Dearborn, who resigned last month for an opportunity outside the industry. He will be relocating from Burnsville, Minn., to work out of Vernon Hills, Ill., which is northwest of metropolitan Chicago.
