Officials for Experient announce its recent hiring of a former association executive in charge of meetings and events as the company’s new senior vice president in charge of housing and sales operations.
Heidi Voorhees has joined the Experient team as senior vice president of housing to lead the firm’s housing sales and operations.
Voorhees’ background as an association executive overseeing meetings and events has proven her ability to identify issues, create opportunities and drive continuous improvement, according to Experient. Her senior level of experience will help ensure Experient’s unified registration and housing continues to grow at a record pace, allowing the company to further its leadership position within the association, tradeshow and government markets.

Voorhees comes to Experient from the Institute of Food Technologists, organizer of the world’s largest annual food expo, where she served as vice president of meetings and events and vice president of strategic initiatives. She also was managing director for the National Foundation for Judicial Excellence, senior director at the Defense Research Institute and convention manager at the SmithBucklin Corp. Voorhees has served on numerous boards and has contributed countless hours to community service endeavors. She earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and is an ASAE-certified association executive.
Experient, a Maritz Travel company, provides registration, housing, event planning and management, site sourcing/contract negotiation, and lead retrieval services for association, tradeshow and government clients around the world.
