Experient raises $6,500 for annual charity event

Experient, the source for integrated meeting and event solutions, hosted the 7th Annual Pack for Impact event in Denver on July 29, achieving donations of $6,500 for Food Bank of the Rockies’ meal programs.

The Kid’s Café and Totes of Hope – Children programs were designed to serve balanced meals to children at risk of hunger all over Denver and its surrounding areas. These free, nutritious meals are provided after school, over weekends and during the summer months.

This year’s donation brings Food Bank of the Rockies to more than $121,000 in total contributions since the programs began 17 years ago. In fiscal year 2015, Kid’s Café was able to serve 614,145 meals in the food bank’s service area.

“We truly appreciate the support our sponsors and long-time individual participants give to this event each year,” said Gary Schirmacher, CMP, senior vice president, Association Sales and Marketing, Experient. “We feel a great connection to the community that is finding ways to stop hunger amongst our children.”

Using sponsorship dollars, Experient purchased food and packed bags donated by meeting planning and supplier partners for Totes of Hope – Children. Together with some of their clients, hotel and supplier partners, they packed 1,200 bags, adding to the total of nearly 170.000 totes distributed in fiscal year 2015.
