EXPO Convention Contractors, Inc., a Florida-based general contractor, has promoted Richard P. Curran, vice president, to CEO and president, effective immediately as his father, founder and former president Richard J. Curran, transitions to chairman.
“I am grateful for the training and mentoring over the past 18 years that I have received from my father,” says the younger Curran. “He is an icon in this industry and it is evident from my travels all over the U.S. as I encounter many people who respect him. It’s an honor to have his trust and to take this role and responsibility. My intention is to maintain our family business values that we are small enough to be personable yet large enough to be exceptional.”
During this process, his father will continue to be involved on a consulting and mentoring level, but will step away from the day-to-day operation.
