Convening in Phoenix will be the third annual Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region IX Public-Private Sector Leadership Conference.
Taking place Feb. 19, FEMA and Arizona emergency management officials plan to collaborate with both public and private sector partners on responding to large scale disasters.
FEMA regional administrator Nancy Ward and Wendy Smith-Reeve, director of the Arizona Division of Emergency Management, will deliver keynote addresses while representatives from Microsoft, Verizon and Facebook will present examples and summaries of best practices and lessons learned.
