GES to open new Las Vegas office

geslogoGlobal Experience Specialists (GES), based in Las Vegas, and parent company Viad Corp., based in Phoenix, will open a new Las Vegas office on Monday, March 26 to house their shared services accounting and IT groups.

The move into the new building is the culmination of Viad Corp’s strategic reorganization, an initiative that began in 2009 to centralize the company’s corporate functions. The 33,000 square feet of office space will foster a more cohesive structure and team environment, enabling improved sharing among the nearly 200 GES and Viad employees who will occupy the new building.

In addition, GES and Viad Corp are looking to fill approximately 10 positions with qualified Las Vegas-based candidates for their shared services accounting and IT groups.

“While we could have opened the new office in any of the markets we serve, we choose to remain in Las Vegas, which has been home to GES’ headquarters for many years,” said Paul Dykstra, chairman, president and CEO of Viad Corp. “Our new Las Vegas office will centralize the expertise and resources of our shared services groups, providing a more efficient structure for servicing our customers.”

The new office is located at 7150 South Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, in a brand new building conveniently situated near the 215 Beltway between Rainbow and Buffalo and nearby numerous shopping and dining amenities.

“We carefully selected this new office space as it is an important investment in our employees and the Las Vegas community,” said Steve Moster, president of GES. “We’ve also made several improvements to the building, including a number of green enhancements to help reduce our environmental footprint.”

The eco-friendly modifications that GES and Viad Corp have made include installing energy efficient light bulbs, motion lights, high-efficiency air conditioning units and hand dryers, as well as placing recycling bins at each work station. The new office space also boasts numerous conference rooms, a large lunch room and a production center that supports scanning, invoice printing and check printing, as well as a full-service mail room for shipping and receiving.
