GES wins major industry awards

GES Toto

GES’ U.S. team won a silver award in the Island Design category for client Toto United States Inc.

Global Experience Specialists (GES), a leading provider of exhibition, event and retail marketing services, announced that the company has been recognized with several awards.

GES was recognized by Event Marketer magazine, winning a gold Ex Award for the Best Integrated Tradeshow Campaign category for client P&G Pet Care. This was awarded to the campaign that drove traffic, funneled leads, identified prospects and set tradeshow participation apart from the competition. This year’s Ex Awards drew a record-breaking 700 entries from around the world.

Promotion Marketing Association recognized GES with a gold Reggie Award in the Business-to-Business Campaign category also for P&G Pet Care. GES identified a unique selling point, “The Art and Science of Balance,” and built the entire experience around it, resulting in P&G Pet Care captivating its target audience to achieve record in-booth interaction time and doubling its qualified leads from the previous year.

“P&G’s balanced approach is the most successful event experience our division has ever executed,” said Bud Most, national events manager for P&G. “Bottom line, the program completely exceeded our expectations.”

EXHIBITOR magazine’s Exhibit Design Awards recognized GES’ German team with a gold award in the Design Consistency category for client Osram, and GES’ U.S. team with a silver award in the Island Design category for client Toto United States Inc.

“GES Germany designed a completely dark booth outside with the inside very bright white to showcase the LED technique made by Osram,” said Harry Hamacher, GES Germany project manager for U.S. clients. “Since light distributes in a circular way, the facade opens with circular and oval shapes, allowing visitors to look inside and see what is going to happen.”

GES is also a finalist in two categories of the American Business Awards, Stevie Awards, to be announced June 20, 2011.

In addition, Melville Exhibition and Event Services, part of the GES Global Network, received the following recognitions in the United Kingdom’s Exhibition News Awards:

  • Won Best Supplier to Exhibitors award
  • Won Best Client Support Provider award – Mike Chambers, Melville group account director
  • Finalist for Best Employer award
  • Finalist for Best Supplier to Organizers award
  • Finalist for Best Designer award – Phil Baker, Melville creative director

From January through May 2011, GES has been recognized with a total of 15 awards for its expertise in areas such as design, integrated marketing and customer service.
