In its ongoing effort to further expand and improve its production capabilities, Gilbert Displays has announced the expansion of its custom metal fabrication department.
As part of the expansion, Scott Stephens was hired as the company’s new head of metal fabrication. Stephens brings more than 30 years of experience in metal work with a specific focus on design, engineering and fabrication related to architectural metal and glass.
As the company’s authority in high-end metalwork, Stephens will participate in the design, planning and engineering of numerous projects, adding general expertise and opportunities for improved efficiency, ingenuity and aesthetic appeal. When he’s not consulting with the team in the office, Stephens will be on the production floor overseeing fabrication.
“We’ve been seeing a shift in the market where the demand for the integration of architectural metal and millwork has increased,” said Frank Occhiogrosso, director of production and project management, Gilbert Displays. “Having Scott on board gives Gilbert the additional resource of an experienced and professional in-house metal consultant. Scott’s expertise will enable us to generate more intelligent designs, and the expansion of the department will give us more control over quality and more efficient turnaround.”
