GLM executive receives newly created role upon promotion

GLM, which brings efficiencies and opportunities to the flow of merchandise, promoted an employee to director of digital marketing and analytics, effective immediately.

This newly created role belongs to Melissa Gray, who will work as part of GLM’s eight-person Digital Products team and, in cooperation with various show teams, to develop a strategic vision for the launch and integration of new online resources and raise awareness of digital marketing technologies across the company.

“The leadership Melissa has exhibited in developing successful, integrated marketing campaigns and her deep, first-hand knowledge of trade and event-related markets, uniquely position her for this role,” said Jason Brown, chief digital officer, GLM. “The creation of this role supports GLM’s growth strategy as we are introducing new online resources. Effectively educating our retailer and exhibitor customer base about these new initiatives is essential.”

Joining GLM in 2005 as media supervisor, Gray was promoted to marketing manager in 2008 and group marketing director in 2012.

She previously served as group marketing director, National Stationery Show, Creative & Lifestyle Arts, SURTEX, SURTEX Asia and SourceNY.

Gray received a B.A. in Public Relations from Utica College of Syracuse University and is a graduate of the IAEE (International Association of Exhibitions and Events) Krakoff Leadership Institute.
