Global Spectrum adds GM to Cross Insurance Center

Global Spectrum, operators of the Cross Insurance Center and part of Comcast-Spectacor, named a new general manager to the facility.
Joseph Imbriaco relocates to Bangor, Maine, from the Global Spectrum-managed Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, S.C., where he served the company as assistant general manager. Handling the facility’s day to day operations will be part of his new role, which includes the scheduling of events, and overseeing the advertising, sales, promotions and publicity for the venue and its events.

While in Columbia, Imbriaco aided in the development and management of a $2.6 million operating budget and $1.6 million of department budgets.

“Joe is a brilliant and creative leader who will help us in many exciting new ways at the Cross Insurance Center,” said Doug Higgons, vice president, Global Spectrum. “Joe also has a thorough understanding of utilizing the company resources and synergies to maximize opportunities for our clients, customers and guests. He will be a valuable asset to the Bangor region.”

Imbriaco begins his role immediately replacing Mike Dyer who has left the company.

Prior to his time in Columbia, Imbriaco was director of events and operations at the Global Spectrum-managed Ted Constant Convocation Center on the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. From the University of South Carolina, he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.
