GMCVB Welcomes New Director of International Accounts

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) recently welcomed Vianny Mancebo as director of international accounts in the convention sales department. In this role, Mancebo is responsible for supporting team efforts to promote Greater Miami and Miami Beach as one of the world’s most distinctive and desired meetings and convention destinations.
“Greater Miami and Miami Beach’s resurgence as a leisure travel destination provides a distinct advantage in positioning what makes this place special as an international meetings, business and convention location,” says GMCVB President and CEO David Whitaker. “Adding talented professionals like Vianny who can build relationships and hit the ground running will really help us ramp up to meet our post-pandemic organizational goals and needs.”
Mancebo will assist GMCVB senior vice president of convention sales and services, Carol Motley, in developing and implementing strategic plans to drive international meetings and conventions to Greater Miami and Miami Beach. “International meetings and conventions are making their way to our destination not only because participants enjoy warm weather and beautiful beaches, but also so they can leverage opportunities tied to the growth of new markets here in the tech, medical and manufacturing sectors, just to mention a few,” says Motley. “We welcome Vianny as we continue to build out our team adding more depth to our bench so that we can showcase all of the world-class attributes that make Greater Miami and Miami Beach a top destination that welcomes travelers from all over the world.”
Mancebo has nearly 20 years of sales experience along with extensive knowledge of Miami-Dade’s hospitality industry. Most recently, Mancebo served as a senior sales manager at the Hyatt Regency Miami, where she implemented sales and marketing programs for the hotel and region and helped expand Hyatt’s international clientele portfolio.
Mancebo completed her undergraduate degree in hotel business administration at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y MaestraSanto Domingo, Dominican Republic, and a master’s degree in business and tourism administration from University of Alicante in Spain. The mother of two resides in Miami-Dade County. She spends leisure time with her family at baseball tournaments and dance recitals.
