Summertime! Although I wish everyone a busy summer work schedule, the truth is show floors are a lot slower in the summertime. With isolated exceptions, workloads lighten and people take time with their families, or just de-stress from the hectic lifestyle that working in our industry creates.
I have learned from industry veterans in the past to take that two week trip, or spend it in your backyard, and do not feel bad for not working! In just about every instance you will be glad that you did. It’s amazing what a couple of weeks off can do for your spirit and health!
While the summer ticks away, hopefully more solid news for industry conditions will surface. Meanwhile, be sure to see our cover B piece titled, Meeting industry improving; fewer meeting cancellations and increased bookings predicted.
This print edition also has write-ups on new product offerings; at least six companies announce new products and/or product enhancements, as well as successful companies leading the way into the future.
Please see our cover B story on what has made George Fern thrive for over 100 years. One of our A cover features catches up with Freddie Georges as her staff efficiently manage seven projects, including Warner Brothers at the recent E3 show in Los Angeles.
All this plus the best group of industry columnist anywhere!
Thank you for your loyal readership! On behalf of our entire staff, we are proud to help keep our industry informed, and provide information to give you and your company the competitive advantage!
See many of you in Boston at TS2!
