VenuWorks has announced that a management agreement has been signed between Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio, and the Ames, Iowa-based company. In addition, John Siehl, CFE, will return to the role of executive director.
“Hara Arena is welcoming VenuWorks into the building as the facility manager and into the Dayton market,” said Rue and Sue Wampler, owners of the Hara complex. “VenuWorks is a results-driven leader that brings the kind of partnership our complex will benefit from.”
John Siehl, who is returning to VenuWorks, began his career in facility management at the Hara Arena in 1965 and worked there for 24 years before heading across town to Wright University’s Nutter Center. At the Nutter Center, he served as executive director for 20 years before retiring in September 2010.
“I am excited to be returning to the Hara Complex and working with the Wampler family,” said Siehl. “I feel honored to have the opportunity to return where my career began.”
Currently, he is VenuWorks’ director of support services and he will continue with those job responsibilities as well.
“Hara Arena is thrilled to announce the return of its former executive director, John Siehl,” said the Wamplers. “We have very fond memories of John’s leadership. He has a strong relationship with many years here and he shares our passion for maintaining the building as an icon in Dayton.”
