Hargrove, Inc., a general contracting company that produces tradeshows, events and custom exhibits, has been selected as general service contractor through 2013 for the Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition/National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference (OFC/NFOEC); Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics/Quantum Electronics and Laser Science Conference (CLEO/QELS) and Frontiers in Optics/Laser Science (FiO/LS).
Attracting nearly 10,000 optical communications professionals from around the world, OFC/NFOEC was recognized in Tradeshow Week magazine as one of the 200 largest shows in America, the 19th largest show in California and the 6th largest in San Diego in 2008. In 2010 Hargrove will set the 157,000-square-foot exhibit hall for more than 500 participating companies, assisting them with their booth properties, installation, freight and dismantling. The next OFC/NFOEC will be held March 21 – 25 in San Diego, Calif.
Thousands of professionals in the fields of lasers, optics, quantum electronics and photonics gather each year at CLEO/QELS where they visit more than 300 vendors in the exhibit hall. The next CLEO/QELS will be held May 16-21 in San Jose, Calif.
Attended by more than 1,500 leaders in optics and photonics and 100 exhibiting companies, FiO/LS 2010 will be held Oct. 24-28 in Rochester, NY.
The company also was named as the general service contractor for the 2010 Marine Corps Marathon, Health and Fitness Expo Oct. 29-30 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
Hargrove’s contract for the Marine Corps Marathon Health and Fitness Expo includes four additional one-year extensions, carrying the relationship through 2014.
The Marine Corps Marathon is America’s fifth largest marathon, growing from its inception in 1976 with 2,000 runners to more than 40,000 registered participants expected in 2010. The Marine Corps Marathon is affectionately known as “The People’s Marathon” since it does not offer prize money. Instead, it continues the vision of its creator, Colonel Jim Fowler, to promote physical fitness, generate community goodwill and showcase the organizational skills of the Marine Corps.
The Health and Fitness Expo is a free event providing runners and guests with an opportunity to visit more than 200 vendors and attend a series of educational seminars while picking up their race materials and networking with other runners.
